KATE Garraway made a huge blunder as she almost revealed the identity of one of the remaining Masked Singer stars on Good Morning Britain.
The 54-year-old presenter and co-host Ben Shepherd crossed over Lorraine Kelly who told them that Joel Dommett would be popping in to talk all about the ITV competition ahead of the final this weekend.
She teased: “There might be somebody you recognise from Masked Singer on as well.”
“I know … I’m excited!” Kate then said excitedly, as Ben looked at her and added: “You know.”
Kate immediately backtracked, adding: “Yeah, uh, I don’t know. I think I might know but I’m not meant. Oh my god, I don’t know what I’m meant to know or not no! Lorraine! I’m so confused!”
“Don’t save her Lorraine, there’s no saving her!” Ben quipped.
Fans of the show are convinced that Charlotte Church is behind the Mushroom costume, with many suggesting that Kate would only know this as she interviewed her for ITV’s Life Stories.
Viewers have spotted clues that have lead them to the conclusion that the opera star is behind the mask.
It came after she hit a super impressive operatic note at the end of a performance in the semi-final on Saturday night, sending fans into a frenzy on Twitter.
One fan wrote: “Mushroom can sing! That last bit was Charlotte Church.”
A second echoed: “Only Charlotte Church can sing that good. She’s definitely Mushroom.”
A third said: “It’s definitely Charlotte Church. She’s a trained opera singer so can definitely reach those notes.”
They originally thought it could be the mum-of-three after spotting clues last month.
One said: “I love Mushroom – fantastic singer, brilliant at accents and SUCH a fun-gi!
“Has to be Charlotte Church – now that the clues back her up!
“Sang at inauguration of George W BUSH, was in Under MILK Wood, JUDGE on Over The Rainbow, hosted a CHAT show. #MaskedSingerUK.”
Meanwhile, Joel has promised one of the celebrities in Saturday’s final will be a huge shock for viewers.
Appearing on ITV’s Lorraine today, Joel, 36, was asked if he had been surprised by the identities of any of the remaining celebs beneath the masks.
He said of the secret star, who could be disguised as either Panda, Mushroom, or Robobunny: “I lose my mind! It comes out of nowhere for sure.”
He added to Lorraine Kelly: “I was really, really happy with the outcome, it’s such a special finale.”
The celebrity guessing game with an A-list cast comes to a conclusion on Saturday.
Last year’s winner was Joss Stone, aka Sausage, and she will return on Saturday night to help the panel, made up of Rita Ora, Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan, to guess who the three finalists are.
