KATIE Price has slammed I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! for not knowing who any of the cast are.
The former campmate, who famously met her ex-husband Peter Andre in the jungle in 2004, spoke out during her daily review of the show last night.
Katie, 43, let rip at the apparent lack of famous people as the ITV show launched last night.
Speaking on Instagram as she sat alongside her fiance Carl Wood, she said as she launched her daily review: “Should I call it, I’m a Non-Celebrity?”
Katie, then left Carl, 32, stunned when she slammed some of this year’s contestants for having “even less followers” than him.
Carl agreed on the video posted to Katie’s 2.7 million Instagram followers, and said: “Even me, a nobody, has more followers than some of these people.
“To me, if you’re a celebrity you don’t need to go in and say ‘hi I’m so and so’ because you’re meant to be famous.”
The mum-of-five added: “It should be called Who Are They? Are You A Celebrity or Aren’t You?”
Last night fans watched as 10 stars left their plush pads and luxuries far behind to be put through their paces in the most horrendous challenges in the castle and Welsh countryside.
This year’s celebrities are Pop Star and Presenter Frankie Bridge, Broadcaster and ex BBC Breakfast host Louise Minchin, Music Producer Naughty Boy, TV Presenter and Journalist Richard Madeley, Olympic Gold Medalist Matty Lee, Paralympic Gold Medalist Kadeena Cox MBE, Football Legend David Ginola, Choreographer Dame Arlene Phillips, Radio 1Xtra DJ Snoochie,Shy and Emmerdale Star Danny Miller.
Fans all had the same complaint too within minutes of the new series starting tonight – as they moaned they didn’t know enough of the celebrities taking part.
Disgruntled fans claimed they didn’t recognise the stars heading into the castle despite the line-up including a football legend, well-known news reader and an Olympian.
One person whined: “Only celebrities this year are ant & dec apparently #imaceleb.”
A second complained: “I haven’t a clue who these celebrities are like… #ImACeleb.”
While a third added: “Is it just me or does anyone else think these celebrities are getting worse each year? #ImACeleb.”
And someone else joked: “Brave move from #ImACeleb to decide not to get any actual celebrities this year…”
