FORMER Emmerdale star Kelvin Fletcher’s wife Liz has revealed she drove HERSELF to the hospital alone to give birth to their twins.
The actress said she feared her husband wouldn’t make it to the birth after she left him at home with their two children at 5am.
Liz, 30, married former soap star Kelvin, 38, seven years ago, and the couple also share daughter Marnie, five, and son Milo, three.
Months after announcing their third pregnancy, then welcomed their twin boys – named Maximus Crowther and Mateusz Kelvin in May.
Mother-of-four Liz was forced to drive herself to the hospital to give birth after waking up in the early hours of the morning.
She told Hello magazine: “My waters had broken. I rang the hospital and they said to come in. Kelvin had to stay with the kids.

“I drove myself to the hospital, an hour away, at 5am. I was a bit panicky that Kelvin might miss the birth if it happened straight away.”
Liz was told that the birth was likely to happen on the same day she arrived, meaning it gave Kelvin time to get to the hospital.
The twins were born shortly after, with the new mum recalling: “Milo was like, ‘They’re heavy’. Marnie was kissing them, it was so cute.”
Back in May, Kelvin revealed his twin sons had been born by sharing an adorable picture of their tiny feet with his Instagram fans.
Gushing over them as a ‘gift from God’, he added: “Welcome to the world my little boys. If you could see my smile.”
A delighted Liz also posted the snap, writing: “They are here!! My heart is filled with so much love and gratitude.”
Speaking previously about the challenge of having twins, Liz said: “I felt every single emotion under the sun. First, there’s double the worry.
“I thought about things like breastfeeding, how is that possible with two? How do you pick up two babies at the same time?
“I felt all of this in the space of 30 seconds. Kelvin was saying it’s a miracle, and I was thinking ‘How are we going to do this?’
“But now we can’t imagine it any other way. We feel so lucky.”
