Kim Fox faced justice after crashing her car in the Walford Argee Bhajee – and almost killing Denzel Danes in the process.

But since the accident, the usually bubbly and bold character has suffered from horrifically debilitating panic attacks and her sister Denise (played by Diane Parish) decided to support her.

After being found guilty, Kim had to wait to find out if she would be taken to prison for her actions.

In recent scenes aired on BBC One, she went back to court with Denise and Howie Danes (Delroy Atkinson) by her side to find out her fate.

Unfortunately, the trial spiralled out of control when Kim became haunted by flashes of the accident and was taken away to prison.

Coming up next week, Howie is preparing for Kim’s release, and Felix Baker (Matthew Morrison) takes it upon himself to throw a welcome home party for Kim.

Meanwhile, at the prison, Kim steals herself to return home and leaves before her family can collect her.

When she finally arrives, she’s confronted with a crowd of well-wishers.

Kim struggles with her real emotions as she tries to style it out.

In later scenes, Kim suffers a devastating new low but tries to keep up a façade in front of her family, determined not to let Howie and the kids see how ill she still is.

Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy) talks to her about treatment options but admits the waiting lists are long.

Kim asks the nurse not to mention anything to Howie before making the decision to return to work.

Her day takes a heartbreaking turn as she suffers another panic attack on the job.

She is then found by Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) and Howie when The Albert isn’t open, discovering Kim cowering in the dark.

Howie begs Kim to let him help her, and she finally agrees.

Later on, he finds a therapist specialising in PTSD for Kim and arranges for her to have time off work, leaving her grateful for his support.

But will it be enough?

EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
