KIM Kardashian has placed a $6K rhinestone Balmain dress up for sale on the Kardashian Kloset website.
The Hulu star added the high-fashion clothing item after being repeatedly accused of flaunting her wealth.
Kim Kardashian placed a $6K rhinestone Balmain dress up for sale on the Kardashian Kloset website
The black, rhinestone embroidered Balmain piece is described on the resale site as ‘extremely rare’
The “EXTREMELY RARE” Balmain piece is described on the resale site as a “black, multi-beaded and rhinestone embroidered mini dress.”
The “mock neck, mesh overlay” longsleeved dress is being offered on Kardashian Kloset for the lofty price of $5,995.00, and that’s with “minor signs of wear.”
Last week, the Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum advertised a metallic Balmain jumpsuit on the site for the hefty price tag of $4,595.
The piece featured a textured top, a ruched waistline, and patches on the chest.
The legs on the jumpsuit were tapered, coming in at the ankles while the entire piece appears to be made with a slightly oversized fit.
According to the listing, the piece is “rare.”
Just days prior, the Skims founder listed a Roberto Vacalli top for $2,995.
The shirt appeared to be made of leather or made from a leather-like material and is styled like a traditional kimono.
It had a large dragon that covered the side and drifted across a portion of the chest.
PERSONAL CLOSET PURGE
Recently, Kim used to site an in attempt to sell off all her Balenciaga clothes to fans after she cut ties with the disgraced high-fashion brand.
The Kardashians star sold upwards of $36,000 worth of the brand’s clothing and accessories on her family’s designer clothing resale site.
It seems that Kim, 42, was trying to purge her personal closet of any items associated with Balenciaga, as much of the listed clothing comes from the Italian fashion house.
Prices of the resale items differed wildly, from a $350 scarf to a mocha brown tracksuit costing $1,515.
One particular item described as a rare “multi-colored tonal blue and black glass beaded and sequined embroidered hourglass” Balenciaga coat would set its purchaser back $10,395.
Altogether, the Balenciaga clothing offered on Kim’s Collection of the resale site totaled approximately $36,000.
Kim’s dispensing of the brand’s apparel appears to be in response to fan backlash regarding how she handled the controversy surrounding the company.
The luxury brand found itself in hot water after running advertisements that portrayed children holding BDSM accessories.
Kim responded to the backlash on Twitter, writing: “I have been quiet for the past few days, not because I haven’t been disgusted and outraged by the recent Balenciaga campaigns, but because I wanted an opportunity to speak to their team to understand for myself how this could have happened.
“As a mother of four, I have been shaken by the disturbing images.
She continued: “The safety of children must be held with the highest regard and any attempts to normalize child abuse of any kind should have no place in our society — period.”
The TV personality concluded by adding: “I appreciate Balenciaga’s removal of the campaigns and apology. In speaking with them, I believe they understand the seriousness of the issue and will take the necessary measures for this to never happen again.”
FAN BACKLASH
Kim has been ripped by fans in the past for selling her used clothing for high prices despite her massive $1.2billion worth.
Earlier this year, people were stunned to see the LA native selling the previously owned items for astronomical prices.
Several raced to the Kardashian Kloset Instagram to slam the famous family for profiting off items that could’ve been “gifted” to begin with.
“Y’all have so much money. Why not donate these items? Or the proceeds to a good cause?” one urged.
A second person asked: “Why is everything so expensive on here? Don’t they get half the things for free? As PR?”
A third commenter ranted: “Imagine getting the bulk of your clothes for free, and then reselling them when you’re already ridiculously rich.”
