KIM Kardashian wished her ex-step father Caitlyn Jenner a happy birthday on social media before celebrating with a private family party.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star’s daughter Kylie also shared a video. of the event, but later deleted her clips of the decor.
Kim, 41, took to her Instagram stories on Thursday to wish her ex-step father a happy 72nd birthday.
The reality star shared a throwback photo next to the former athlete from a formal event where she wore an exquisite corsetted gown and Caitlyn donned a white dress and blazer.
“Happy birthday Caitlyn Jenner I love you so much and can’t wait to celebrate you,” she wrote as the caption.
Hours later Kim returned to the platform to snap a photo of Caitlyn’s birthday cake, a beautiful vanilla round dessert covered in pink and gold sprinkles.
Small black candles encircled a large “Happy Birthday” candle in the center, as the olympian prepared to make a wish.
KYLIE’S CLIP
Kylie Jenner, 24, also attended the party, and shared a short video of the decorations she used to transform her $36million mansion.
The pregnant star had her place decked out with candles, a roaring fireplace, and a giant balloon tower, and she wrote “happy birthday Caitlyn Jenner” as she toured the foyer on her story.
However, the Kylie Cosmetics founder quickly deleted the post, leading fans to believe she wanted to avoid any backlash.
BABY BACKLASH
Though Kylie hasn’t explained why she decided to delete the celebration video, fans on Reddit speculated she realized the balloon decorations didn’t fit with the vibe of her new business venture.
The reality star’s new product line, Kylie Baby, has been advertised as being “Safe, Gentle, Clean & Conscious Baby Care,” and some of her followers didn’t think the massive pile of birthday balloons lined up with that theme.
“I wish they would find a new decoration that’s environmentally friendly,” one user complained.
“Those endless enormous balloon displays have to break down over time.”
A second agreed: “Anytime I see those balloons arches I think of all the plastic/latex that is never going to break down in the landfills.”
A third continued to slam Kylie, writing: “I think celebrities really need to look at the carbon footprint they leave behind.
“Between the private jets, luxurious items, high fashion and over the top parties.”
The beauty mogul launched the highly anticipated baby line in September, and has been promoting the collection with her daughter Stormi.
CAITLYN’S COMMENTS
While some suggested Kylie’s new venture as the reason she decided to take down the birthday clip, others said it could be because of recent political comments Caitlyn has made.
Earlier this week, the Trans rights activist spoke out about comedian Dave Chapelle‘s controversial Netflix special.
Chappelle sparked outrage in The Closer after comparing blood from trans women’s genitals to “beet juice” and recalling the time he “beat up a lesbian woman.”
Speaking out on Twitter, Caitlyn supported the comedian, saying his standup is about “woke culture run amok,” and that those speaking out against him are attacking his free speech.
“Dave Chappelle is 100% right,” she tweeted.
“This isn’t about the LGBTQ movement. It’s about woke cancel culture run amok, trying to silence free speech. We must never yield or bow to those who wish to stop us from speaking our minds.”
