Laura Anderson reveals scare after baby daughter falls ill

Love Island star Laura Anderson opens up about her baby's health scare

Reality TV personality Laura Anderson has shared her fear and concern after her baby daughter, Bonnie, fell ill in the middle of the night. The 34-year-old, who shot to fame on Love Island, told her fans that Bonnie's temperature rose to 39C after contracting a nasty virus from her. Anderson described the experience as "scary" and admitted to being frightened to see her little one so poorly.

Struggling to get an accurate reading

Anderson took to her Instagram Stories to document her baby's health woes. Snuggled on the sofa in their pyjamas, she explained that she was nearly prompted to call the NHS helpline, 111, in the middle of the night as she struggled to get an accurate reading on Bonnie's thermometer. The reality star expressed her concern over the various places to take temperatures and the different numbers that were showing up.

Trying to cool Bonnie down

Instead of seeking immediate medical assistance, Anderson decided to try and cool down Bonnie herself. She revealed that they were able to successfully cool her down, and Bonnie eventually went back to sleep. However, the baby had missed a feed the previous day and had been coughing. Anderson gave her some Calpol and assured her fans that Bonnie was not herself, but she was okay.

Love and support from her pet dog

Throughout the ordeal, Anderson's pet dog Buddy was by their side, providing comfort and support. Anderson shared a heartwarming moment of Bonnie cuddling with Buddy and expressed gratitude for his presence during the difficult time.

A journey into parenthood

Dealing with online trolls

Unfortunately, Anderson has also had to face online trolls. She received backlash after filming a makeup tutorial while holding newborn Bonnie on her shoulder. Additionally, during a holiday in Dubai, she was criticized by cruel mum-shamers who accused her of letting the sun burn Bonnie's delicate skin. Anderson responded to the criticism, warning critics about the way they choose to communicate their messages.

Laura Anderson has shown her vulnerability and strength as a new mother, sharing the ups and downs of her parenting journey. Despite the challenges she has faced, she continues to prioritize her daughter's well-being and provide love and support throughout.
