Laura Hamilton's Future on This Morning Revealed After Dating Show Axed

Laura Hamilton's This Morning Journey

Despite her dating show being scrapped by ITV, A Place in the Sun's Laura Hamilton remains a valued member of the This Morning family. The presenter has had various guest roles on the daytime show and continues to contribute whenever possible.

The Dating Show Debacle

Last year, Laura, 42, flew to Barbados to film a new mini dating series for This Morning. However, the show was abruptly axed after a producer's inappropriate relationship with one of the contestants came to light. Following the scandal, the staff member in question resigned, and ITV launched an investigation into the show.

Laura's Take on the Situation

Speaking to The Celeb Report, Laura expressed her love for This Morning and mentioned her ongoing involvement with the show. Despite not being available for some recent opportunities due to other commitments, such as running a marathon and filming A Place in the Sun, Laura remains eager to contribute to This Morning whenever possible.

Viewing Figures Woes

On another note, This Morning has faced challenges with dwindling viewership numbers. Recent reports revealed a significant drop in viewers, with just over a million tuning in to new hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard's debut in mid-March. By May, the figures had plummeted further, raising concerns for the ITV show amidst solid performance from BBC1 rival Morning Live.
