Lee Mack, the star of the award-winning quiz show The 1% Club, has spilled the beans on the lengths taken to keep contestants in the dark. With a National Television Award recently under his belt for Best Quiz Show, Mack shared that only he and the show's producers are privy to the questions during rehearsals. Even during filming, the questions are concealed from the contestants to ensure utmost secrecy.
Secrecy is key
On The 1% Club, the stakes are high, and it's no laughing matter. Mack confessed that the quiz questions are shrouded in mystery, allowing no room for leaks or cheating. The comedian joked about the recent controversy sparked by his onstage comment at the NTAs, stating that as a stand-up comic, his job is to entertain and make people laugh. He clarified that the audience should take his comments in good humor.
