Legend returning to EastEnders for the third time after Lola’s heartbreaking funeral

PATSY Kensit will be heading back to Albert Square for a third time after impressing EastEnders bosses.

The actress was drafted to play the role of Lola Pearce’s estranged mum Emma Harding and it looks like she’s not going anywhere.

Patsy, 55, first joined the cast in December last year.

The former Holby City star then left in March after struggling to cope with her daughter’s cancer diagnosis.

In June she returned for a second time for Lola’s funeral scenes, which left fans in pieces.

However she has since been spotted on the famous set, and insiders told The Mirror: “Patsy has been back in Albert Square filming on multiple occasions this month – so it seems fans have not seen the last of Emma.

“Patsy has really impressed the bosses, and is a big hit with the rest of the cast. She loves the show too, so she was thrilled to be asked to return as Emma.

“She, like audiences, had thought her cameo appearance at Lola’s funeral was her last on the Square.”

It comes as Patsy has called off her whirlwind engagement to millionaire Patric Cassidy, 56, and decided to focus on work instead.

Self-confessed “hopeless romantic” Patsy announced ten months ago they were getting married after he popped the question within weeks of them starting dating.

However, last month we reported how she was left “visibly distressed” at a charity do when Patric snatched her diamond ring from her hand during a furious row.

A spokesman for Patsy told The Celeb Report on Sunday: “I can confirm they have split, and would appreciate that she is given her privacy regarding the matter. She is currently very busy working.”

An insider added: “The whirlwind romance has come to a halt and the couple have decided to go their separate ways.

They have a lot of love for one another, but ultimately, she knew that they couldn’t make it work in the long-term so felt it was best not to move forward with their relationship.

“Patsy has lots of exciting work opportunities at the moment, and she is throwing herself into her career.”

Last September, Patric proposed to Patsy at Scott’s fish restaurant in London’s Mayfair — and bought fellow diners champagne when she accepted.

In February the actress shared photos on her Instagram page of the tycoon getting down on one knee at a beach destination, apparently making the engagement “official”. She also showed off her sparkler.
