Johnnie Walker, 79, bid farewell to his two beloved shows on BBC Radio 2, including the Sounds of the 70s and The Rock Show, in a moving announcement during one of his broadcasts.
Emotional Farewell
With a heavy heart, Johnnie shared the challenges he faced due to health issues, leading to the difficult decision to bring his illustrious 58-year career to a close. His last show is scheduled for the 27th of October.
Passing the Torch
As he prepares to sign off, Johnnie revealed that the esteemed Bob Harris will be taking over Sounds of the 70s starting from the 3rd of November, ensuring the legacy of the show continues.
