Leigh Francis Gives Update on Holly Willoughby Following This Morning Exit

Close Friends

Leigh Francis, also known as Keith Lemon, has provided an update on his close pal Holly Willoughby after her departure from This Morning. The popular TV presenter announced in October that she was leaving the ITV show after 14 years, following an alleged kidnap and murder plot.

A Tough Time

According to Francis, Willoughby is currently going through a tough time. Speaking at the We Free Women launch, he revealed that he often sends her messages to boost her morale. Although he doesn't know if she will return to her usual spot as host for Dancing on Ice in January, Francis remains supportive of his friend.

Shocking Revelation

In October, Willoughby sensationally quit her role on This Morning "for the sake of her family" after discovering she was the target of an alleged kidnap and murder plot. A man named Gavin Plumb has pleaded not guilty to charges related to the incident. Since then, Willoughby has been replaced by Alison Hammond on the show.

Challenging Period

Willoughby's departure comes after a challenging period for This Morning. Her former co-host Phillip Schofield left the show in May after admitting to a relationship with a younger male colleague. Willoughby and Schofield also faced criticism for allegedly jumping the queue to see the late Queen lying in state.
