Linda faces turmoil as Dean Wicks returns

Times have been hard for Linda Carter since Dean Wicks returned to Albert Square. Things only get worse next week in EastEnders as the Vic landlady's family is brought into the conflict, leaving her devastated.

Christmas chaos hits Albert Square

Christmas is fast approaching the fictional London borough of Walford and will be bringing murderous chaos to Albert Square. But before the Six can take centre stage, one of the iconic Walford women is facing turmoil caused by Dean Wicks (Matt Di Angelo).

Linda prepares for Christmas without Mick

The evil rapist returned ahead of Halloween, terrorising Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) into silence by making her lie about her rape ordeal he maintains never took place. Coming up next week on BBC One, the pub landlady prepares to face her first Christmas without her husband Mick, who vanished at sea during the festive season in 2022. Linda is saddened to learn that her children Nancy and Lee will not be coming home to visit her, despite her need to be with her family.

Dean stoops to a new low

Unfortunately, Dean decides to make matters worse by rattling her even further. Linda receives a photo from the villain, who is dressed as Santa Claus, with her son Ollie at the Beale's Eels new grotto. Incensed, Linda heads there to confront Dean and she lets rip.

Jade Green returns and learns the truth

Meanwhile, Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) tells Jade Green, who recently returned to the Square unexpectedly, that her father Dean is a sexual predator. Jade has spent most of her life away from Walford and her father, meaning she missed out on his ongoing feud with Linda. The young girl is disgusted by Keanu's revelation and she leaves Walford before Dean heads to the Vic. Later on, however, Gina Knight (Francesca Henry) lets Dean know that she believes him over Linda, in a shocking twist.

Linda's well-being at risk

Viewers have grown increasingly terrified for Linda's well-being as Dean roams free in Albert Square. Many of them have speculated that he could be the unknown male victim left in The Vic in an upcoming murder mystery during the Christmas season. But will Linda really snap and kill him off?

EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
