JANINE Butcher was thrown in prison when she was pregnant with Mick Carter’s baby.
This prompts Linda (played by Kellie Bright) to make a huge decision next week in EastEnders.
Linda Carter makes a big decision about Mick Carter’s baby
But will things be easy for her?
She has been mourning for the loss of Mick since late 2022
Viewers of the BBC One soap will remember that Walford villainess Janine Butcher kept Mick Carter under her thumb, particularly after telling him she was pregnant with his child.
But the former Vic landlord turned on her the moment he found out she had worked out a plan to get rid of Linda – and nearly succeeded.
The couple rowed and eventually wound up on the seaside alongside Linda as Janine tried to make an escape from Mick and the authorities.
After saving Janine and believing Linda needed his help, Mick vanished at sea and has been presumed dead.
This left Janine in a precarious position as she was expecting his baby when she was later taken away by the police.
Time has since flown by and in scenes airing next week, Linda is debating about fighting for custody for Janine and Mick’s baby.
Alfie Moon (Shane Richie) distracts himself from his own turmoil by providing support to her.
Later on, Linda decides to meet the solicitor and Alfie agrees to attend the meeting with her while Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) is quick to dismiss the idea with George Knight altogether.
But instead of joining Linda, Alfie is seen taking a cab to the hospital where he’s given terrible news.
He then heads to The Vic to apologise to Linda for missing the meeting.
The Vic landlady notices that Alfie is not his usual self and tries to question him about his behaviour but he immediately covers.
Will Alfie open up to Linda?
Could Linda get custody of Janine’s baby by arguing it belongs with her and its siblings in the Vic?
