Linda Carter, beloved character on the London-based soap opera EastEnders, is set for a terrifying Halloween as she faces a shocking twist just days before the spooky holiday. Played by Kellie Bright, Linda has already endured the supposed death of her husband Mick and now must navigate a new ordeal.
Halloween plans go awry
Linda is determined to make Halloween special, despite the recent challenges she has faced. However, a mix-up involving George Knight, her partner, throws a wrench into her plans. Meanwhile, Linda's mother, Elaine Peacock, is determined to help her daughter move on from Mick's supposed death.
Soap boss promises tough times
Chris Clenshaw, the boss behind EastEnders, has warned fans that Linda's journey will only become more difficult as Halloween approaches. The yearly event has always been a cherished tradition for Linda and Mick, but with Mick gone, Linda must find a way to make the best out of a bittersweet situation.
Support from loved ones
Fortunately, Linda can count on the support of her mother Elaine Peacock and her partner George Knight. In scenes airing next week on BBC One, Linda is determined to throw a big party at The Vic, despite Elaine's concerns that no one is in the mood to celebrate due to Jay Brown's recent accident.
Tensions rise and secrets are revealed
The atmosphere becomes increasingly tense when Linda discovers that George is hiding something from Elaine. The tensions escalate when Elaine overhears their argument and demands answers. George is forced to confess that he has paid out 50% of the bar sale to his ex-wife, Cindy Beale, also known as Rose Knight. Elaine is furious and hurt by this revelation.
A heart-to-heart and a party
After a heart-to-heart with Linda, Elaine agrees to listen to George's explanation. Later on, Elaine takes it upon herself to lift the spirits of The Vic's patrons and get the party started, knowing how important it was to Mick and Linda.
An unwelcome shock
However, as Linda goes into the kitchen after putting her son Ollie to sleep, she receives an unwelcome shock. The exact nature of this shock is yet to be revealed, leaving viewers on the edge of their seats.
Rallying around Linda
In later scenes, the Knights rally around Linda as she navigates her hour of need. However, regular viewers of EastEnders have speculated that Linda may come face to face with her rapist, Dean Wicks. The character of Dean was mentioned earlier this year as Shirley Carter spent time with him away from Walford after Mick's disappearance. With Mick no longer around to keep Dean in check, could he make a return to Albert Square?
EastEnders airs from Monday to Thursday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
