Actress Linda Robson has revealed that she, along with her Birds of a Feather co-stars, took a stand after discovering they were being paid significantly less than their male sitcom counterparts. The 66-year-old actress shared that she, Lesley Joseph, and Pauline Quirke were shocked to learn about the pay gap during their early years on the show.
'We Aren't Doing Any More Episodes'
During the TV Choice Awards, Linda disclosed that they found out that the stars of Only Fools and Horses were earning much more than them. This led to a halt in filming as the Birds of a Feather stars demanded equal pay to their male counterparts on the popular sitcom.
Equal Pay Victory
After standing their ground, Linda, Pauline, and Lesley successfully secured equal contracts to that of the Only Fools and Horses stars, ensuring fair pay for their work. The disparity in pay was a crucial issue for the TV stars during the late 80s and early 90s.
New Acting Endeavors
Aside from addressing the pay inequity, Linda Robson also shared news of her latest acting role. She will be appearing in the upcoming series of Channel 5's The Good Ship Murder alongside Shayne Ward and Catherine Tyldesley. Linda expressed excitement about her character, Elsa, a cabin steward, and joked about surviving the show without meeting a tragic end.

Linda is set to film for eight days in Malta next month and is looking forward to working with Shayne Ward, known for his singing, although she humorously ruled out any musical performances on the show.
