LINE of Duty Tommy Hunter and Jo Davidson’s real relationship was exposed in easy-to miss post-it clue.
BBC One fans are convinced that they have spotted a huge clue in last night’s episode that explains the relationship between the bent copper and the mobster.
Eagle-eyed viewers noticed a post-it note that read: “Jo Davidson DNA has been identified at Farida Jatri’s house. A match has been made to TOMMY HUNTER stating she is both his niece and daughter.”
Viewers believe that this could be a significant clue in determining how the pair are actually related – but were left baffled at the connection.
One fan who spotted the note wrote: “Did anyone else clock this post-it note? Niece AND daughter?”
Another viewer suggested: “Maybe Jo is the missing Teenager that was with Tommy. Ryan is their son it’s his DNA in the flat. He’s been manipulating Jo. He’s the mastermind. Ted has her undercover to stop him.”
Other fans proposed more wilder guesses speculating that Ryan is possibly Jo’s son.
A third added: “Jo is Tommy Hunters niece and daughter with the homozygosity in their DNA but did the incest continue and Ryan is Jo’s son, the lingering looks between them, the over the top way he calls her Ma’am (mum) and someone had to have fast tracked him into MIT”
Another confused fan shared: “So if Tommy H is Jo’s dad AND uncle, who is her mum?!?! Guessing Jo doesn’t rate her much as she is lobbying glasses of wine at her photo?!”
This week viewers discovered that DNA samples belonging to this series’ main bent copper Jo, were last week shown to link her to a sensational figure.
We found out that it was mobster Tommy Hunter from series one, who was then killed in series two. But we don’t know if Tommy is Jo’s father – or another relative.
Meanwhile, viewers were left with the mother of all cliffhangers as hero cop DI Kate Fleming was locked in an armed stand-off with bent copper PC Ryan Pilkington.
In the latest instalment Jo was confirmed as corrupt when she agreed to have Kate murdered to protect her own secret.
She called Kate and tricked her into meeting her at a disused warehouse car park and when she got there – Ryan stepped out and aimed at gun at Kate.
Last night’s thrilling episode ended with the sound of two shots being fired, leaving viewers wondering whether it was good cop or bad cop that had taken a bullet.
Last night’s episode left viewers with more burning questions, viewers will have to wait until next week to find out if Kate survived and what connection Jo has to Tommy.
Line of Duty continues on Sunday on BBC One at 9pm.
