LINE of Duty star Gregory Piper looked worlds apart from his sinister alter-ego Ryan Pilkington as he arrived to teach drama students in the West Midlands.
The star, whose character was shot dead in the latest series of the BBC police drama, smiled as he got out of his car with girlfriend Becca.
He held a colourful bag and dressed down in a dark hoodie and jeans for his teaching session.
Last week Line of Duty viewers rejoiced as Pilkington was killed in a shootout – but he escaped grilling by AC-12.
Gregory returned to the show this year as a cop, having brutally slit the throat of Stephen Graham’s character John Corbett in series 4 as a young tearaway.
The crooked copper met his end after confessing to multiple murders on the show.
Fans flocked to Twitter to celebrate that the baddie had come off worse in his stand-off with DI Kate Fleming.
One said: “Me sleeping soundly knowing the little sh*t Ryan Pilkington is dead.”
A second chimed in: “Ding dong Ryan’s dead.”
But some fans thought they had been robbed of seeing him grilled by AC-12 top dog Ted Hastings.
One wrote: “Fewmin is Ryan is dead. Hate him beyond belief, but I wanted him in an interview scene!”
Another said: “No last scene between Ryan and Steve is a bit of a bummer.”
Ryan’s death solved the cliffhanger at the end of the previous episode when fans were convinced Kate had been shot.
The series has attracted record-breaking audiences of 11million and reaches its climax on Sunday.
Last week cop Jo Davidson was led to her cell and given an icy stare down by corrupt jail guards.
The force discovered she’s been liaising with underworld figures and had planned to kill off Fleming as the unknown criminals piled pressure on her to do their bidding.
