The stars played Anti-Corruption Unit Detectives on the BBC drama

Scottish actor Martin, 37, who played Anti-Corruption Unit Detective Inspector Steve Arnott on the hit show, treated fans to an Instagram live video of his covert mission.

He said excitedly: “I’m off to meet some friends I haven’t seen in a wee while.

“We haven’t seen each other in a couple of months.”

Adrian, 63, and Vicky, 38, greeted him at the table with a hug and a pint.

They were at the Prince of Wales in Highgate, North London — a former haunt of supermodel Kate Moss.

The meet came after creator Jed Mercurio revealed last week that he had no plans for more episodes of Line Of Duty, calling it “a once-in-a-lifetime experience”.

But he did offer a little bit of hope to those fans desperate to see a seventh series by saying: “If there was a way, we would obviously look at that seriously.”

The finale to the BBC One programme in May pulled in 15.24 million viewers, making it the UK’s most watched drama series of the 21st century.

Mercurio, 55, has since co-authored a graphic novel called Sleeper and he is also filming a series, Trigger Point, with McClure playing a bomb-disposal officer.

He added: “Then I’m sort of taking stock about what I’m going to do next.”
