It comes after the journalist and TV presenter was thrown into the Strictly bubble when she was announced as a contestant on series 20.

Admitting she’s found it tougher than she thought, Kaye told her celeb pals at the Edinburgh Fringe she didn’t like talking about her personal life.

“I’m a journalist and it’s my job to get information out of other people,” Kaye said on her podcast How To Be 60 with Kaye Adams.

“On LW you’re surrounded by oversharers so it’s really not difficult to [not share].

ROSE ON ROCKS?

Strictly's Rose 'hit by curse' as pals fear she's grown apart from lover

“With the whole Strictly thing I’m doing interviews and I’m aware I’m finding it a bit difficult because it becomes about me.

“I have avoided my career being about me for such a long time. I ask other people questions because that’s what I love to do.”

Kaye was speaking to her Loose Women co-star and best pal Nadia Sawalha and Cold Feet star Robert Bathurst.

She was dealt a blow this week when doctors told she’s almost deaf in one ear.

Kaye’s been undergoing a series of tests ahead of appearing on the hit BBC dance show and has been told she needs help.

She confirmed her “hearing is an issue” and is contemplating getting hearing aids.

Kaye said the checks found one ear had a “poor level” of hearing and the other was trying to compensate.

She added: “My hearing is an issue, to the extent that I’ve had full consultations and examinations on my ears.

“It’s probably getting to the stage where it’s getting problematic in certain situations.

“I have been recommended to get hearing aids.
