LOVE Island bosses are facing scrutiny after Charlotte Sumner’s romantic link to a convicted criminal has come to light.
The dental nurse previously dated Daniel Jones, 25, who has been jailed for anti-social behaviour and is now wanted for driving offences.

Charlotte – who entered the villa as a bombshell last Sunday – met Jones after he was released from prison.
In December 2019, he had been jailed for affray following a fight outside a strip club in Southampton.
He then failed to show up to court to face charges of dangerous driving and driving while disqualified in March 2021.
As a result, Dorset Police issued a warrant for his arrest and placed him on their wanted list last year.
Speaking to the Mirror, Charlotte said yesterday: “It wouldn’t be for me to comment on the circumstances of my ex. But regarding our relationship, we split before I applied for the show.
“I was single when I entered the Villa and I’m single now.”
ITV said that all of their contestants are DBS checked and declined to make any further comments.
It comes after a source close to the former couple claimed Charlotte was very much still in contact with her criminal ex.
The source said: “Charlotte has been loved up with Daniel since early 2020.
“They’ve had some rocky patches, like any relationship, but they were very much together last month.
“She called Danny three days before appearing on Love Island.”
In December 2022, Charlotte shared a photo of herself and Jones on Instagram standing by a Christmas tree.
In another snap posted in May this year, she could be seen in Jones’ bed with two dogs.
Since being voted off the ITV2 show on Friday, the 30-year-old has since changed her Instagram handle and removed all photos of Jones.
