Love Island cast’s jobs – from lawyer to financial advisor to water engineer

HAVE you ever wondered what the sexy singletons of Love Island got up to for a living before entering the villa?

Although the islanders are currently living their best lives in Majorca, back in the UK they’ve got to get on with their very “normal” 9-5 jobs.



Let’s have a look at what our islanders do for a living

Over the years they’ve boasted a range of different careers – from NHS frontline workers to models to Motorsport Grid girls.

This year some there is a huge range from a civil servant who has worked on the Track and Trace system to a hunky water engineer.

So let’s have a look at our round-up…

Millie Court



Millie Court is a fashion buyer’s administrator

Blonde bombshell Millie, 24, has an amazing sense of style and that certainly reflects what she does for a living.

The reality star – who is coupled up with Welsh hunk Liam – is fashion buyer’s administrator.

Speaking about her career, Millie said: “I’ve been a buyer’s assistant for three years.

“I love my job. It’s all involved with fashion. I studied fashion at university.”

Kaz Kamwi



Kaz Kamwi loves to show off her style on her Instagram page

Kaz is an influencer and fashion blogger that boasts 209k followers on Instagram.

This has led to deals with big companies like Primark and beauty brand Iconic London.

She has even released her own range with lifestyle company SkinnyDip.





Liberty Poole



Liberty is a waitress at a very popular chicken restaurant

Brummie lass Liberty works as a waitress at Nando’s.

She juggles the job with her studies as she is mid-way through a marketing degree at the University of Birmingham.

Will the blonde beauty take Jake Cornish on a date to work when they return to the UK?

Chloe Burrows



Chloe is a marketing executive

25-year-old Chloe is a financial services marketing executive who is currently interested in Toby.

The beauty sparked uproar before heading to Spain when she said: “I am partial to a married man. I did meet someone at work.”

She added in a promo for the show: “I thought it was love at first sight – until my manager reminded me of his wife and kids. Doesn’t mean I don’t drunk-call him most weekends.”

Asked about the claims by The Celeb Report before she headed into the villa Chloe said she “dumped” the bloke on the spot when she found out he was married.

She insisted: “I didn’t have an affair – it’s been taken out of context.”

Tyler Cruickshank



Tyler is a law graduate

Before he was breaking Kaz’s heart on national TV, Tyler was working as an estate agent in Croydon.

But he’s also a lawyer after graduating St Mary’s University in London. 

After he graduated, he proudly posted a picture of himself on Instagram and wrote: “Officially a Law graduate, it’s been a crazy journey but I wouldn’t have changed it for the world, I don’t really post much about my personal life but just know I’m not just a pretty face”.

Sam Jackson



Sam is a maintenance engineer

Northern lad Sam worked as a maintenance engineer before landing a place on Love Island.

He says his job involves “fixing massive machines on a huge scale” and “getting down and dirty”.

Dale Mehmet



Dale is a barber with his own studio

24-year-old Dale is a barber from Glasgow who set up and created his own studio.

The Scot taught himself how to cut and style hair and has already been seen getting to work on the Islanders and sorting out their locks. 

Speaking about his career he said  “you need a lot of people to practise on and who don’t mind you giving them a bad haircut.”

He added: “There was a quite well-known barbers in Glasgow that I wanted to shadow and learn how these guys cut hair.

“I worked there for about two years and then I created my own studio and started on my own.”

Abigail Rawlings



Abigail is a tattoo artist

Stunning Abi, 27, is tattoo artist from Beaconsfield – but she now lives in Bournemouth.

The Love Island star has even tattooed Ashley Walters from Top Boy.

Speaking about her job, she said: “I got my apprenticeship when I was 18. I was at uni at the time and I dropped out to become a tattooist – my mum was livid! I’ve been doing it now for eight years.”

She used to be a professional gymnast and is the self-proclaimed “handstand master”.

Mary Bedford



Mary is already an influencer and a model

Perhaps not surprisingly, 22-year-old Mary is a fashion model and influencer.

She has already modelled for the likes of ASOS, JD Women, Missy Empire and Boohoo.

The blonde has three YouTube channels and thousands of subscribers already.

Clarisse Juliette



Clarisse has her own very successful jewellery business

Clarisse is a woman of many talents and is thought to already be a millionaire thanks to a successful jewellery business – Chaleur.

Speaking about her job, she said: “I love jewellery – I wanted to create something that’s still affordable. It’s real gold or sterling silver and it looks pretty and expensive.”

The former WAG is also an influencer, with an impressive following,  and model on the side.

Matthew MacNabb



Matt is a strategic marketing consultant

26-year-old Matt, from Belfast works as a strategic marketing consultant.

The tall Islander, who has connected with Kaz,  has achieved a lot in his career already.

Speaking about his role, he said:  “We started a marketing consultancy at Christmas time and it took off really quickly. I originally did law as my undergraduate and I’ve worked in investment banking and I did a Masters in business administration.”

“I was working in California for a year and a half. I came back without a job and I started this company with some other marketing consultants.”

Amy Day 



Amy is an actress who has worked on cruise ships

Casa Amor beauty Amy, 25, is an actress from Surrey.

She  has performed on cruise ships and has featured in an episode of Humans, and dreams of one day featuring in the West End or Hollyoaks.

Amy said: “When I work on a cruise ship it’s very beautiful costumes, stunning and just feeling glamorous all the time.

“To be able to perform and make a salary – I’ve been very lucky.”

Faye Winter



Faye is an estate agent

Faye is a lettings manager from Devon, who also volunteers for Guide Dogs UK in her spare time.

The beauty told ITV she loves her job: “I’m a lettings manager and I’ve got an amazing team.

“I go out and do valuations, win business for the company and I’ll do the odd viewing and find tenants. My main role is the sales side of things.

“I absolutely love it! I’ve actually only taken a sabbatical from work because in my ideal world, I’d love to go back to work.

“I try to make it as Selling Sunset as possible. I’m definitely there in the mini dresses, boobs out, bum out, turning up and you can see the wives say to their husband, ‘You’re staying outside’. It’s so fun.”

Hunky Toby joined the villa a few days ago and has already caused a storm.

The 26-year-old hails from Manchester and is a senior financial consultant.

Liam Reardon



Liam works as a bricklayer 9-5

Liam is a 21-year-old bricklayer from Wales.

The reality star has a dream about living abroad, as he said: “Part of me wants to be wealthy and successful, part of me wants to be living by the beach, run a bar, something on a smaller scale and be happy.”

Jake Cornish



Liam is a water engineer

Weston-super-Mare lad Jake is a water engineer who the supply of clean water, the disposal of wastewater and sewage and the prevention of flood damage.

He describes himself as a bit of a “handyman”, but joked: “I’m a jack of all trades just not electrics! I don’t go near electrics.”

He has ambitions to own more properties and also open up his own restuarant in the future.

Toby Aromolaran



Toby is a semi-pro footie player

Toby is a 22-year-old semi-pro footballer from Essex.

Speaking about his career to he told ITV: “I’ve played football since I was about six, but it’s really come into a new light for the past year since I joined a team called Hashtag United.

“They’re very social media focused. Everything is on YouTube, Instagram and Twitter.

“Playing with them has really made me fall in love with the game again.”

Hugo Hammond



Hugo teaches physical education to secondary school students

Hugo graduated from Oxford Brookes University and went on to become a secondary school PE teacher at Blundell’s School in Devon.

Speaking about his job, he said: “I teach secondary school PE. Absolutely love my job. I love all my sports.

“It’s great to be able to pass on that enthusiasm to be physically active to the younger generation and hopefully they feel the same about me teaching them.”

During his studies he was also was a cricketer for England PD (Physical Disability).

Sharon Gaffka



Sharon Gaffka is a civil servant

Sharon Gaffka, 25 – who is currently coupled up with Hugo Hammond – is both brains and beauty having studied law at Birbeck University.

The former beauty queen now works for the Department of Transport as an Operations Lead.

She worked on the launch of the doomed Test and Trace system.

Back in 2018 when she took part in pageants, she was crowned Miss International United Kingdom.

Lucinda Strafford



Lucinda is also in the fashion industry

Brad’s new girl Lucinda is the owner of online fashion boutique, The Luxe Range. 

Before joining the fashion industry the reality star was cabin crew.

Prior to her current job Lucinda was a member of cabin crew and has met some pretty famous faces during her flights.

She said: “I flew Dannii Minogue, Usain Bolt and Nick Grimshaw. They were all so fun. They were pressing the call button and specifically asking for me.”

Brad McClelland



Brad is a labourer

Brad is a 25-year-old labourer from Northumberland who has said that his colleagues would describe him as “not lazy” but “energetic”.

He added: “I just try to get away with doing literally nothing.”



Aaron is a luxury events host

Aaron works as a luxury events host which has allowed him to meet celebs and royals including Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

A Love Island source previously told The Mail: “Aaron has no real claim to fame, he’s just a normal guy. 

“However, his job does mean he sometimes moves in glamorous circles and he gets lots of attention.

“Bosses think he’ll be a real hit in the house with the girls and also get on with the guys.”
