Love Island fans accuse Gemma of bullying as she makes ‘snide’ remark about ‘best friend’

LOVE Island viewers have accused Gemma Owen of bullying after making a catty comment about her villa best pal.

The Islanders scrambled around the villa last night as they desperately tried to stay out of the way while Tasha Ghouri’s plot to make Andrew Le Page her boyfriend played out.

The group had been packed onto the terrace as Andrew followed clues dotted around the compound that would eventually lead him to Tasha.

However, they were forced to disperse as Andrew made his way up to them to find the penultimate clue.

All of them, bar Ekin-Su and Davide, hid inside, while the rogue couple remained on the terrace casually sipping their drinks.

The camera then showed a crouching Gemma complaining: “Why are they trying to steal the f*****g show?”

The remark proved problematic for viewers.

One fan wrote: “Transport me to when Gemma realises her mean girl energy is showing and Ekin & Davide winning the damn thing!”

Another said: “Gemma secretly hates Ekin-Su I’m telling you! Her sly little comment at them ‘why’re they trying to steal the show’ for just sitting on the terrace!!!”

Earlier in the episode fans cringed as Luca told Gemma he loved her, with a third posting: “Gemma ‘why they trying to steal the show’ [red flag emoji] clearly still got her eye on the prize. Does she [heart] Luca? Or just said it as felt she had to??? He may be possessive but she just ain’t that into him!”

Just days ago Gemma came under fire again for lighting the spark that caused her ex Jacques O’Neill to furiously rage at Adam Collard before leaving the villa.

Hearing remarks the newcomer had made about other the lads, Jacques said: “I hope he said stuff about me because we’ll have a bit of biff then.”

Gemma, 19, told him without hesitation: “Oh he was proper slagging you off.”

Immediately riled, Jacques replied: “What do you mean? What’s he saying?”

Someone then threw the word “immature” into the mix – with Jaques rising to his feet in anger.

He added: “Do I go now? What else?”

Gemma, realising what was about to play out, added: “Woah, no no no no.”

But it was too late with Jacques later seen raging at Paige, saying: “If a boy’s going to chat s*** behind my back I don’t f***ing have it.”

Some fans pinned the drama on his ex, with one writing: “Honestly I love Gemma but why would she do this when Paige literally told the girls not to say anything to Jacques.”
