LOVE Island fans are convinced that producers are cutting out Jake’s behaviour towards Liberty as Faye and the other girls turn on him.
In shock scenes this week, the water engineer was accused of being a game player and fake – and things are set to get even more dramatic when Faye discovers her pals nominated her as least compatible.
But those watching at home have been somewhat surprised by the developments, which have seen Jake go from hero to villain in mere seconds – despite viewers just watching him tell Liberty he loves her.
Some fans believe we haven’t been shown the whole picture and took to Twitter to discuss it.
One person wrote: “Honestly, I don’t know about this Jake narrative. Since the Kaz editing manipulation, I don’t entirely trust what I’m being shown. I hope @LoveIsland‘s not painting another false narrative for ratings cos Jake’s mental health is spiralling. I don’t see it ending well.”
A second added: “This is gonna be a mad controversial opinion but I don’t really understand why the public seems to dislike Jake so much and everyone in the villa thinks he’s so fake? He’s done some weird things but they must have seen more than we see for them to all react like that.”
While a third wrote: “They’re in the house with Libby & Jake 24/7, they know more than us & even WE could see Jake’s bullshit through our screens.
“Just imagine what they’ve seen! Everyone loves her, I really don’t think they’d lead her astray.”
And a fourth added: “Is there even more about Jake and Liberty we haven’t seen on TV as everyone always seems to get super excited about ‘love yous’ and getting together (even when we can see the warning signs), but all the girls seem unanimous in not believing Jake?”
However despite the drama, Liberty has so far stuck by her man – and with the final now less than one week away it’s looking unlikely that she will walk away amid the confusion.
