Faye Winters may be the first Islander of this year to capture the series’ catchphrase

After just two episodes, some fans think “keeping my options open” is going to be the catchphrase of the season, as the Islanders refuse to settle down with just anyone.

Faye Winter notably used it earlier on, while it was heard again about one of the other women in the Mallorca villa.

“All we are going to hear this whole season is ‘keeping my options open’ i swear,” wrote one Twitter user.

While another added: “Primark getting ready to put ‘keeping my options open’ on their shirts tomorrow.”

Kaz has been using ‘situationship’ quite a bit on the 2021 season already

Curtis Pritchard loved a bit of ‘it is what it is’

As did his season buddy Tommy Fury

Fans loved Shaughna Phillips’ despondent ‘congrats hun’ after she was dumped on the show

And a third wrote: “‘Keeping my options open’ do you know how much I missed that phrase.”

Kaz Kamwi – one of the current contestants – has uttered ‘situationship’ a number of times so far.

The unusual phrase become common Love Island vernacular to describe a relationship that is not very serious, but is also a step up from something casual.

Love Islanders and their catchphrases have become popular over the years with many standouts.

2019 champ Amber Gill coined ‘dead ting’

Some of the most loved include “dead ting” from 2019 champion Amber Gill and “congrats hun” from a less than enthused Shaughna Phillips in 2020.

Tommy Fury and Curtis Pritchard became known for using “it is what it is”.

Other catchphrases fans love looking out for include: ‘eggs in one basket’, ‘head turned’, ‘I’ve got a text!’ and ‘can I pull you for a chat’.

Tuesday’s sophomore episode ended on a controversial cliff hanger as fans will have to wait 24 hours to find out who Chloe Burrows has picked after a nail-biting cliffhanger.

The second episode ended on a cliffhanger and viewers will have to wait to see who Chloe chooses to couple up with

Bombshell Chloe arrived last night and pulled out all the stops to get her dream lover.

The marketing exec, 25, was sent in to stir up trouble in the villa and gets her shocking orders, receiving a text saying she would be the villa villain.

In Tuesday’s episode, Love Island viewers watched as Chloe went on a solo date with all the boys as the other girls were stuck back at the villa.

She then spent her first full day at the villa chatting individually to all of the guys – with Aaron Francis catching her eye.

Narrator Iain Stirling commented: “the tension in the villa is electric,” as viewers got excited.

Chloe seemed keen on Aaron, but nobody has any clue who she will pick

Chloe addressed the Islanders, telling them “I’ve chosen this boy to couple up with because when I first saw him I thought he was absolutely gorgeous.”

She continued: “I think the most important thing is that you made me feel really comfortable, which was number one thing going in.

“I’m just looking forward to getting to know you on a one to one basis. So the boy I’m looking forward to coupling up with is…”

But then the episode drew to a close with Chloe’s choice not aired, but ITV2 teasing drama for tomorrow’s episode, and fans were not happy.
