LOVE Island fans have spotted a major clue that the show will have a crossover episode with both the UK and US contestants.
Both Love Islands are airing at the same time this year after the coronavirus pandemic meddled with the usual schedules.
Now viewers are obsessed with the idea that it could mean stars will be mixed up for the first time in the show’s history.
One said: “Both love islands (UK and US) will be airing at the same time for a while. Idk if I can keep up with 2 hours of love island a day.”
A Reddit user replied: “Oh this is interesting, I wonder if there’s any chance of a crossover.
“Big Brother has done that a few times. And I remember during 2018 there was speculation that uk4 and Aus1 were going to crossover in some way due to both airing at the same time.
“Due to travel restrictions I’m 100 per cent sure there won’t be any actual swapping of contestants, but I’m thinking more so like they’ll meet virtually for a task, something like that.”
This year’s Love Island stars from the UK are already in quarantine in Spain – ready for a long, hot summer.
The Celeb Report revealed the cast have flown out to prepare for the show launch on June 28.
And insiders say show bosses are choosing which islanders will be part of the 2021 original cast this week.
A source told The Celeb Report: “Bosses are finalising who goes into the villa on the launch show right now.
“The cast are already in Spain, quarantining ahead of the first episode.
“Everyone’s really excited – it’s going to be the best series yet as they have some really interesting islanders lined up for the villa.”
Builders have been rushing to get the classic Majorca villa ready before the June 28 start date.
In exclusive pictures obtained by The Celeb Report, the Love Island villa is seen surrounded by vans and shipment containers.
It appears to be getting quite the renovation, as big yellow construction vehicles can also be seen on site.
The cast and crew have set up shop too, with tents and temporary office buildings dotted around the grounds.
But it’s yet to be seen whether the UK’s Islanders in will collide with the US stars – in person or virtually.
With lockdown quarantine restrictions still being enforced it could make flying from Las Vegas to Majorca, or vice versa, very tricky.
