LOVE Island fans did a double-take when Jake Cornish showed off his gleaming new car on Instagram.
The 24-year-old reality star posed beside the gleaming Mercedes with his arm round a blonde lady – who some mistakenly thought was Liberty Poole at first glance.
Jake and Liberty served up the love story of the summer in the villa – before the pair dramatically called it a day.
They then quit the show and have not been seen together since, so many were shocked after mistaking the lady in the picture for her.
Jake was in fact posing with ‘car fixer’ Victoria Picton from the online dealership VIP45, who’d brought him the blacked-out Mercedes CLA.
But one follower wrote: “I legit thought that was lib at first glance, sick car
.”
Another laughed: “Thought that was you and Liberty for a sec 
.”
Another third asked the star: “Why did I think she was Liberty?” to which several other followers replied: “So did I.”
Elsewhere, Jake’s Love Island pal Liam Reardon, who won Love Island with Millie Court, wrote: “Love it bro 
.”
The former water engineer captioned the snap of his new car: “Thank you so much to @victoriavip45 for sorting me out my new Mercedes and getting it delivered to my house with no stress
.”
While Jake has largely stayed out of the spotlight since Love Island, Liberty has continued working as a TV star and lingerie model.
The former Nando’s waitress will appear on the new series of Dancing On Ice where she is partnered with Joe Johnson.
They have been training hard on the rink ahead of the show’s launch tomorrow night.
