LOVE Island fans have worked out the ‘real reason’ Sammy Root bought Amber back – and it’s not because of her famous footy star dad Dennis Wise.
Sammy, 22, picked the 19-year-old during the recent Casa Amor recoupling ceremony.

Jess returned to the villa single
During Casa Amor Sammy got to know Amber and Gabby Jeffery – and even shared a kiss with them both to see if his connection with original islander Jess Harding was strong enough.
After smooching them both, he said he was more interested in Gabby, but then during the recoupling picked Amber.
But as soon as Jess returned to the villa he made it clear he wanted to pursue things with her.
The whole thing has left fans scratching their heads – but some viewers of the ITV2 show have figured out why Sammy picked Amber – and it’s because he was single and HAD to pick someone.
One pointed out on Reddit: “I honestly think Sammy didn’t want to choose anyone to bring back but thought he had to because of the wording, and he knew Amber would be more chill when he gets back with Jess.”
Another said: “Maya said something along the lines of ‘since you are single you MUST couple up'”.
“i think he literally just had to recouple, he did not look happy and was winking at Jes,” a third wrote.
A fourth chimed in: “I swear Maya said to Sammy something to the effect of “since you’re now single, you must couple up? That alone told me he got pushed to chose a casa girl.”
After Jess and Sammy were reunited, he explained to her what happened during Casa Amor.
Cutting to the chase, he said: “Just to get to the nitty gritty, Amber and Gabby, I did kiss them.
“But after kissing them all I thought about was you. Obviously I shared a bed with Gabby but I slept on my side and kept my shorts on.”
Fans were shocked with his choice of words.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Did Sammy really say he kept his shorts on? Get him out Jess deserves better.”
Another said: “Sammy really said “I kept my shorts on” bfr.”
Someone else commented: “‘Kept my shorts on’. Wow, standards Sammy.”
Sammy entered the villa as a bombshell and instantly caught the eye of Jess.
The project manager was keen to get to know Molly Marsh and Jess – but later realised that he had a connection with Jess.
However when Scottish beauty Mal Root arrived he recoupled with her, leaving Jess devastated.
When Mal was dumped from the villa, he started cracking on with Jess again.
