LOVE Island legend Amy Hart fears Jake Cornish is faking his romance to bag the show’s mega-money prize.
The 26-year-old, who appeared in the 2019 series and has been compared to his girlfriend Liberty Poole, said she was “really worried” for her.
Pointing out that games were being played in the villa, she said: “There’s a cash prize at the end.”
Asked who was being fake on the show, she told OK! magazine: “I don’t know about Jake.”
She added: “I’m really worried for Liberty.”
Amy, a former air hostess, went on: “I think what’ve you got to remember is it’s a game show.
“I used to get really angry at people for playing a game but then I remembered it’s a game show.
“They’re actually doing the right thing by playing a game. There’s a cash prize at the end.”
Concerns over Jake’s motives have been raised in recent days, with Faye Winter branding him a “showman”.
Speaking to Teddy Soares, she whispered: “He’s a showman. He did the whole girlfriend thing because he’s a showman.”
Cracks had been beginning to appear in their relationship last week after Liberty began to express doubts about Jake’s feelings towards her.
The romance between the pair – who have been coupled for the whole series – appeared to cool following the Mad Movies challenge, when a clip of Jake telling the boys he “doesn’t want to rip her clothes off” was shown.
However Friday’s episode saw Jake battling to reassure Liberty, telling her: “I love you.”
He made the statement after it was revealed they had been voted as having the most one-sided relationship in the villa by the public.
Some fans took to Twitter and insisted his declaration of love wasn’t genuine with one posting: “Jake is legit playing the game.”
