Love Island Misses Out at NTAs as New Breakthrough Show Takes the Prize

The Traitors Triumph

The National Television Awards (NTAs), held at The O2 in London on Tuesday night, saw Love Island being passed over in favor of the new BBC show, The Traitors.

No Gong for Love Island

Maya Jama, the host of Love Island, was present at the event but did not receive an award for the popular ITV2 reality show.

Rising Star Award

Maya Jama was on stage to present the Rising Star award to actor Bobby Brazier for his role in EastEnders.

Best Reality TV Competition

In the Best Reality TV Competition category, Love Island missed out on the prize, which was awarded to The Traitors, hosted by Claudia Winkleman. Claudia was unable to attend the event.

The Traitors Take the Stage

Wilf, one of the original Traitors from The Traitors show, accepted the award on Claudia Winkleman's behalf and read a note from her to the audience. The show's winning note included a humorous warning about trusting someone wearing a cloak.

Maya Jama's Late Arrival

Maya Jama arrived late to the NTAs and avoided questions about her relationship with Stormzy. Though she didn't walk the red carpet, she made a stunning entrance in a busty black dress.

The Return of Maya and Stormzy

Rumors have been circulating that Maya Jama and Stormzy are rekindling their romance. The couple is reportedly in talks with Vogue magazine for a joint interview.
