LOVE Island rejects have been caught up in a Covid scare after THREE of them tested positive following a big night out together.
Actress Amy Day, who was coupled up with Hugo during her time in the villa, was the first to confirm she fell ill after a series of nights out once her quarantine had finished, including the reunion meal at STK.
We can reveal two other Islander also have Covid following the reunion.
Amy was reunited with Hugo on the night after their acrimonious parting, as well as Aaron Francis, Harry Young, Brad McClelland, Georgia Townsend, AJ Bunker, Chuggs Wallis, Lillie Haynes, Jack Barlow, Medhy Malanda, Danny Bibby, Sam Jackson and Lucinda Strafford.
An insider told The Celeb Report: “Amy and the other islanders have all been super careful and stuck to their quarantine time when they arrived back in the UK.
“But as soon as that was up everyone was excited to see each other and have been hitting the town and now three of them have it.
“Amy is single jabbed and had been due to have a second vaccine next week.
“She has been feeling really unwell, and is particularly worried about her parents, who are now also getting tested.”
The source added: “ Amy really wasn’t expecting to get it. She was working as an estate agent before she went in the villa and was in constant contact people – but never caught it then.”
Amy and Hugo seemed to hit it off on the programme after meeting in Casa Amor, but things soon seemed to fizzle out.
When the two were booted off the show, the hunk made things ten times more awkward by telling producers: “My search for love in there… tragic is probably the word for it,” as Amy listened on, standing next to him.
When they were invited for a chat on Love Island’s spinoff show After Sun, Amy didn’t hold back on her thoughts about the teacher.
She told host Laura Whitmore: “Oh, I’m cracking now to be out of the way of Hugo, really.”
The Surrey stunner called him “fake” and said he acted like he was on “the Hugo show”.
Amy certainly didn’t hold back as she also said: “I think to sum it up, Hugo says that he wants to stay true to himself – can you not be true to everyone else at the same time?”
