Iain revealed that the public vote dumping will begin

Love Island saw a brutal dumping tonight as Tanyel Revan was sent home from the villa, after failing to find love.

The star was coupled up with Kai Fagan, but had yet to develop a spark with any of the bombshell boys.

The Islanders were left sobbing at the door after Tanyel, 26, was sent home in a brutal dumping twist.

However, the end of the episode saw the Islanders given no time to relax, as they were met with more bad news.

It was revealed that the public would now have the chance to vote for their favourite couples as the dumpings begin.

Voice over star Iain Stirling announced that the voting was open ahead of couples being dumped from the villa.

“It’s time to have your say,” Iain said. “Head to the app where you can access voting and vote who you think are the most compatible.

“Those of the fewest votes are at risk of being dumped from the Island. Who will you pick?”

After listing all the couples, he added: “Remember, you’re voting for who you think is the most compatible.

“You can pick one couple, and you have just 15 minutes to make your decision. The vote closes tonight.”

It comes after it was revealed that Love Island is set to end in just a matter of weeks as the dumping’s begin.

It means the lovebirds including Will Young, 23 and Jessie Wynter, 28, plus Lana Jenkins, 26 and Ron Hall, 26, don’t have long left in the villa in Cape Town.

The Celeb Report can confirm that this second winter series of the ITV2 dating show is on track for an eight-week run and will end on Monday March 13.

A source said: “There was speculation that the current series might only run for six weeks as that was the format for the first Winter Love Island outing in 2020.

“By the same token, there was talk last year that the summer series could be extended as ratings were so impressive thanks to the likes of Ekin-Su and Davide.

“But bosses plan to stick to their usual eight week schedule and crown their winners on March 13th.

“That gives the Islanders just four weeks to crack on and find love.”
