LOVE Island star Marcel Somerville has ruled out ever returning to the show after his dramatic stint on All Stars – admitting he was "too grown up" for the chaos.
Marcel's Love Island journey
The former Blazin’ Squad singer, 39, entered the villa with high hopes of finding love again after his divorce but ended up caught in the middle of an awkward reunion with ex Gabby Allen on day one.
The pair, who originally coupled up on Love Island in 2017, were matched again in a shocking twist, but it quickly became clear they weren’t destined for a romantic reunion.
Marcel later coupled up with Liv Hawkins, but the pair were dumped from the villa before they could make it to the final and their connection fizzled out on the outside.

Marcel's decision to stay away
Now, Marcel has made it clear he won’t be giving the villa another shot, especially after everything he’s been through in real life.
When a fan asked during an Instagram Q&A if he’d consider returning to the show, Marcel didn’t hold back.
"It’s a strong NO," he said bluntly. "I think I was a bit too grown up for the drama that was going on in there."
"It’s hard to care for the drama when you’ve gone through real-world drama."

Marcel has been open about his personal struggles, as he’s currently going through a tough divorce from his wife Rebecca Vieira, with whom he shares a young son.
"So I think it’s more for people who embrace drama, whereas I am just looking for peace," he added on Instagram.
Marcel's connection with Olivia Hawkins
Marcel found a connection with Olivia after a week on the show – but she appeared to snub him in a podcast shortly after leaving the villa.
Hosted by former islander Anna Vakili and her sister Mandi, Olivia kept things vague about her connection with Marcel.

On the pod, Olivia was asked if she was ‘closed off’ with Marcel, to which she replied: "No definitely not closed off."
She was then asked whether she had a passionate ‘fire in her belly’ when it came to Marcel, something she admitted she previously had with fellow Islander Luca Bish.
The Celeb Report revealed they had split days later, as friends revealed it was "no longer romantic" between them and the pair felt "it was better to end things as friends".
Speaking to The Celeb Report, a source revealed: "Olivia and Marcel ended things a few days ago. Things just weren’t working out, outside the villa, and it was better to end things as friends rather than force anything."

"They really are good mates though – they speak all the time and have a lot of respect for each other, but it’s no longer romantic."
