Outraged Over Bonfire
Cara De La Hoyde, known for her appearance on Love Island, took to social media to express her frustration over a feud with her neighbour. The reality star was in the process of drying her clean sheets when her neighbour decided it was a good idea to burn a bonfire, causing the entire street to be filled with an unpleasant smell.
Selfish Behaviour
Expressing her annoyance, Cara shared on social media, "Do you know what really annoys me, and really grinds my gears? It’s a nice day today probably one of the last we’re going to have so I cleaned all the house, opened the windows, I’ve done the towels and put them on the line outside and my bedding. Then do you know what some divvy does? He decides to do a bonfire and stink out the whole street because it’s sunny. I’m really controlling my swearing here. That’s so selfish."
Unfortunate Consequences
Cara went on to explain that she had to close all her windows because of the smell and bring in her washing, which would now take three days to dry. She compared her house to one from the year 2000 and expressed her frustration at having to use diffusers to mask the scent.
Agreement from Followers
Many of Cara’s social media followers expressed their agreement and shared their own similar experiences. One person wrote, "Omg this KILLS me. Hottest day of the year our neighbours did this. So selfish. It’s people who can’t be bothered to go to the tip!" Another person added, "That would put me in the worst mood ever…. I pull up a line of washing can guarantee Numpty across the road starts a bbq.... !!"
Praising Realness
Cara, who shares two children with her husband Nathan Massey, recently received praise for showing the realities of her family life on social media. She shared a clip of her messy house, including her untidy living room and near-empty fridge. Her followers flooded the comments section with positive remarks, applauding her for being open and relatable.
