Liam and Millie Court broke up last year
He took part in the series after breaking up with Millie Court, who he won Love Island with in 2021.
However, the reality star has revealed he didn’t take part in the show to meet his true love.
Speaking to Chloe Burrows, the 23-year-old confessed he joined Celebs Go Dating for the money.
He said: “I went on it as it was a business opportunity, for the money.
“If you had have asked me two years ago when I was on a building site ‘you’re going to go on a show, do a couple of days and get paid this’ I would have been like ‘f***ing hell’.”
“I knew it was a controversial thing because it was only two months after me and Millie broke up,” he added.
Liam said at the time he wasn’t “ready to be out dating on TV” but he had to take the opportunity.
Meanwhile, in a previous candid interview with The Celeb Report, Liam confessed he’s still not over his Love Island ex Millie Court.
The former couple announced their break-up in July.
“I wasn’t planning on talking about it because I felt vulnerable,” Liam told us.
“When I first came on Celebs Go Dating I was still hurt and I’m still dealing with it now.
“Since doing the show I’ve learnt how to put it to one side and focus on myself.”
Despite no longer being together, Liam discussed going on Celebs Go Dating with Millie – who encouraged him to go for it.
