Love Island star reveals health diagnosis that causes painful red skin

LOVE Island star Zara McDermott has revealed that she’s suffering from a health diagnosis that causes her to have painful red skin.

The 26-year-old, who shot to fame on the ITV2 dating show in 2018, opened up on Friday, explaining that she has Raynaud’s disease.

Raynaud’s disease is a condition that affects your circulation — and can leave you with discoloured fingers and toes.

The reality star then took to Instagram and opened up to her 1.7 million followers about how she was feeling yesterday.

Zara said: “I feel really conscious about my facial flushing at the moment.

“It’s got a little bit worse recently and its showing up a little bit more. A lot of you have suggested about looking into autoimmune conditions.

“Because this can be the two things that come hand in hand the Raynaud’s and the facial flushing.

“But to be honest I don’t have any symptoms at all. I would just be looking for something wrong with me at this point.

“A lot of you are saying you can go on medication for the Raynaud’s. I don’t think it’s that bad I just wondered if there was a cream I could put on my face.

“The Raynaud’s is not in a good space at the moment. I couldn’t text because my hands were so white and I’m dreading filming outside.”

Earlier this month Zara was left devastated after being mown down by an electric bike menace driving on the wrong side of the road.

The telly favourite took to social media to reveal that she had been “sworn at” by the rogue driver after she was knocked over.

Zara looked red in the face and upset as she revealed that “nobody came to help” after the accident.

Days before the beauty shared an adorable throwback snap from her childhood on Instagram.

Zara shot to fame on Love Island and has gone on to work on various TV shows.

Earlier this year she revealed a huge new career change working on a campaign to support the development of young children with the Princess of Wales.

Kate has drafted a number of famous faces including Zara and Professor Green, Fearne Cotton, Giovanni Fletcher and Leah Williamson to work on the Shaping Us project.

Zara said: “I am absolutely honoured to be working with the Princess Of Wales on her new campaign, Shaping Us.

“Studies have shown that so many of us don’t fully understand the magnitude of the first 0-5 years of a child’s life and how crucial these years are to forming who we become as adults.”
