Tasha Ghouri confirmed as latest contestant
Love Island star Tasha Ghouri has officially been confirmed as the latest contestant on Strictly Come Dancing. The 25-year-old made the special announcement on Kiss FM alongside Perri Kiely and Jordan Banjo.
Excitement and nerves ahead of the show
Tasha Ghouri expressed feeling both "excited" and "nervous" about her upcoming stint on Strictly. Despite her background in dance, she admitted it had been a while since she last danced and is looking forward to the challenge of a different dance style.

Other additions to the Strictly lineup include an Olympian and a Love Island star, joining the likes of Pete Wicks and Nick Knowles. The show recently faced controversy after abuse allegations led to the removal of Graziano Di Prima. Past incidents involving Giovanni Pernice have also been under scrutiny.

Returning for the new season are judges Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke, Craig Revel Horwood, and Motsi Mabuse, with Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly as hosts. The lineup also includes blind comedian Chris McCausland, EastEnders' Jamie Borthwick, and Olympic GB swimmer Tom Dean.
