THE Love Islanders’ parents are BANNED from telling them the public’s opinion of them when they enter the villa, says Olivia Attwood.
The series three star lifted the lid on what can and can’t be spoken about during their 45-minute reunion.
Writing for OK! Magazine, Olivia said: “Obviously it’s super emotional and you’re really happy to see them. But it’s a bit of a weird one because your parents aren’t allowed to talk to you about any outside life stuff, really.
“They can tell you about a few things from home, maybe tell you how the dog is, but the kind of questions you want to ask, you can’t. So it feels quite restricted. It’s a bit of a strange feeling actually.
“You want know what the public think, you want to know what they think of your couple, but obviously they’re not going to tell you.”
Last night, the finalists’ nearest and dearest entered to give their verdict on their new partners.
Tyler was put in his place by his dad over cheating on Kaz with Clarisse in Casa Amor.
Meanwhile Chloe was left red-faced when her lookalike sister mocked her high sex drive – in front of their mum.
Toby broke down in tears during an emotional reunion with his mum and sister.
And Faye had an awkward encounter with Teddy’s brothers who weren’t happy about her explosive outburst on Movie Night.
Despite the stars’ joy at seeing their families, fans were heartbroken at coronavirus keeping them at a two-metre distance.
The show’s strict rules surrounding coronavirus enforces a two-week quarantine period before entering and after leaving the villa.
But with the families not expected to be in quarantine, they were unable to break distancing guidelines.
While this has saved them the time in isolation, it meant they are unable to give the Islanders a much-needed kiss and cuddle after so long apart.
