Love Island’s Amy Hart forced to undergo testing after hospital results come back ‘dodgy’

LOVE Island star Amy Hart is urging female fans to get smear tests after receiving some “dodgy” results.

The reality star revealed she’s been forced to book in for further a examination after a delayed test.

Amy took drastic measures to slim down for her time on Love Island

She wrote on Twitter: “Just a random reminder to book any overdue smear tests please gals.

“My follow up smear has come back dodgy so progressing to the next set of tests. Don’t leave it!”

Smear tests check the health of a woman’s cervix and can help to prevent cancer.

Amy’s post comes after she revealed she weighed just nine stone after skipping work to go the gym before her stint on Love Island in 2019.

The 28-year-old made the confession during an episode of Channel 4’s Embarrassing Bodies.

During one segment of the programme, Doctor Anand Patel spoke to Doctor David Crepaz-Keay about the impact that reality TV have on young people’s body image.

Amy later joined Dr Patel to talk about the pressure she felt before going in the villa, and the extreme measures she took to lose weight.

Although the former air hostess is now a healthy weight, she weighed just nine stone when she appeared on our screens.

Amy confessed: “It was pretty extreme actually.

“Eight weeks – gym every day, 1800 calories, vegan diet plan, I gave up drinking, I’d call in sick to work so I could go to the gym instead.”

Dr Patel asked her: “Why did you think you needed to do that?”

Amy replied: “I thought I needed to do that to be attractive to the boys that would be in the villa.”

The ITV2 star believes that we are so self critical because we’ve been conditioned to think that being thin means pretty.

Amy wants people to realise that “your dream body should just be your own body”.

She was determined to help others to learn to love and celebrate the skin their in, so selected six body types for a photo shoot to celebrate body confidence.

Amy, who hopes to ditch reality TV for politics in a massive career change, shot to fame in 2019 on the fifth series of Love Island.

She entered on day one and coupled up with Anton Danyluk, but the next day coupled up with Curtis Pritchard.

The pair seemed to be going strong until the ballroom dancer broke Amy’s heart when he admitted his head was turned by Casa Amour newcomer Jourdan Raine.

Amy decided to walk out from the show after the devastating split.

Two years after her stint on the programme, Amy revealed her new man – Sam Rason – in August 2021.

The couple have gone from strength to strength ever since.
