Love Island’s Amy launches ‘savage’ Aftersun attack on Hugo after bitter split – leaving viewers in hysterics

LOVE Island star Amy Day has launched a “savage” Aftersun attack on Hugo Hammond after their bitter, calling him “awful with women”.

Earlier today, the Islanders arrived back to the UK separately after Hugo brutally dubbed with time in the villa with bombshell Amy as “tragic”.

Hugo and Amy appeared on Aftersun together after leaving the villa this week

However, the former couple were re-united virtually to chat with ITV2 host Laura Whitmore about whether they would be friends after the show.

Producers aired previously-unseen footage of Amy, 25, and Hugo, 25, meeting for a drink after their shock villa axing during the week.

The frosty former couple sat opposite each other as the actress explained she felt blindsided and that their whole fling had been “fake”.

Amy wasn’t able to hold her tongue much longer after Hugo snapped back that he felt they had agreed to just be “friends” after the dating show.

She told the cameras that she felt she had been “friend-zoned out of the blue” after leaving the villa as Hugo “flipped on her”.

The PE teacher explained that while he thought there was a spark there to start with, he soon realised the relationship wasn’t for him on the outside.

He insisted that he had told Amy during a “chat on the day beds” that it would either go “one way or the other” when they left the Majorcan villa.

She hit back that she clearly wasn’t “part of that conversation” and slammed him for being “patronising” and treating the show as a “lads’ holiday”.

Unable to see eye to eye, cameras continued to roll as Hugo got up and walked away from the table – as Laura revealed that the pair haven’t seen each other since.

That is, until they had to appear side-by-side on Aftersun – where Amy finally had her chance to let loose and give her “savage” opinion on Hugo.

‘HUGO IS JUST AWFUL WITH WOMEN’

After Hugo spent time explaining he was “very happy” with his “experience and journey” on the show, Laura introduced Amy to chat.

Looking frustrated, she told the show host she was feeling “cracking now” she was “out and away from Hugo” as the crowd audibly gasped.

“I think Hugo is just awful with women… to sum it up, Hugo says that he wants to stay true to himself, can you not be true to everyone else at the same time?” she scathingly continued.

Asked if she felt she had made a mistake by putting all her eggs in the teacher’s basket, she shouted: “One hundred and ten per cent. I’m an idiot.”

Hugo then turned on Amy, slamming her by saying he felt she was with him just to get herself a “green card into the villa”.

He suggested that if their full chat over drinks had been aired, viewers would have heard he’d “said it before” in a shocking turn of events.

Fans were left in shock at home as the pair battled it out live on air, calling the war of words between them totally “savage”.

“That Hugo and Amy interview was so savage,” one viewer wrote, as another chimed in: “Amy is being so savage on aftersun it’s hilarious.”

A third said: “Amy is a savage and I can’t even deal with how she is disassembling this man like he’s an IKEA wardrobe she’s about to dash out.”

“Amy’s proper going for Hugo on Aftersun. What a savage,” a fourth agreed.

“Hugo and Amy firing shots at each other,” someone else wrote, while a sixth person concluded: “Amy did not stutter.”

It comes shortly after Hugo and Amy shocked fans of the show after arriving back to the UK separately.

The pair walked back home from the airport alone, with their relationship seemingly taking a hit during their final episode on Love Island.
