Love Island’s Catherine tells pals she wants Scott back after Elom split – but she’s got one big fear

LOVE Island’s Catherine Agbaje has told pals she wants to get back with Scott van-der-Sluis after splitting with Elom Ahlijah-Wilson.

But despite Scott now being out of the villa too, there’s a big reason she hasn’t contacted him.

A friend of Catherine’s told The Celeb Report: “She wants to go on a date with Scott and see if they can rekindle things.

“She realises she made a big mistake cutting things off too soon, but she’d love another chance to explore if there is something genuinely there in the outside world.”

The source added, however, that Catherine is biding her time and has not contacted him yet.

“She is waiting to see what he is going to say to Maya Jama on Aftersun on Sunday night first,” the pal explained. “She isn’t sure how he really feels and she is worried he may completely shut down any chance of seeing her again on live TV, so she is protecting herself by taking a wait-and-see approach.

“If he badmouths her, or goes on any podcasts in the coming days and slates their relationship, then she’ll have her answer. She hopes, however, that he will be open to giving things a go and taking it slowly.”

22-year-old Scott was given the boot alongside Abi Moores during Wednesday night’s Love Island.

But in his exit chat, Scott said he had no plans to reunite with Catherine, also 22, after she ditched him during Casa Amor.

Speaking following his departure, Scott said: “I didn’t think I told Catherine enough before Casa Amor about how I was feeling.

“At the same time I stayed loyal when I had the opportunity to go elsewhere. It wasn’t as if I went into Casa Amor and no-one liked me – I spoke to Gabby [Jeffrey] a bit but chose to stay loyal to Catherine.

“She didn’t do the same thing but hopefully it works out for her. Once the situation is put to bed for me, it’s done and there is no going back.”

Scott was left blindsided when Catherine returned from Casa Amor with Elom.

But he insisted it didn’t take him long to get over Catherine’s shock betrayal.

He said: “So many thoughts were going through my mind at the time, I didn’t know what I’d be surprised at and what I wouldn’t.

“In the back of my mind, I wanted to try and prepare for it and then it obviously happened. I got over the situation pretty quickly so I wasn’t down about it.”
