Chris Hughes says no to Love Island return

Love Island star Chris Hughes has turned down the opportunity to return to the popular reality show for the upcoming All Stars series and the recent Games spin-off. The 31-year-old, known for his turbulent romance with Olivia Attwood during his time on the show in 2017, spoke exclusively to The Celeb Report about his decision. Hughes cited scheduling conflicts and the desire to preserve the memories of his first Love Island experience as the reasons behind his choice.

No negotiations on the table

Speaking about the possibility of returning to Love Island, Hughes revealed that he never reached the negotiation stage and therefore does not know if he would have been offered a lucrative deal. He expressed curiosity about how the show selects contestants for the All Stars version and acknowledged that it would be interesting to find out. However, for now, he remains content with his decision to decline the offer.

Enjoying the single life

After his split from professional golfer Annabel Dimmock last summer, Chris Hughes has been focusing on himself and enjoying the single life. He recently embarked on a solo trip to New York and is currently in Barbados with his agent and close friend. Hughes stated that he is in no rush to find a new partner and is happy being single. He emphasized the importance of being comfortable in his own company and not feeling pressured by societal expectations to settle down or start a family.

Chris Hughes campaigns for a Cornetto cameo

In addition to his Love Island revelations, Hughes also revealed his recent foray into acting. He expressed his love for the Cornetto trilogy, consisting of the films Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World's End, and his desire to see the iconic ice cream make an appearance in the next movie from director Edgar Wright and actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Hughes spent a day at London's Mount Pleasant Studio, working with up-and-coming actors to recreate scenes from the trilogy and show his support for including a Cornetto in the fourth film.
