DANICA Taylor’s mum has defended her Love Island daughter insisting she’s not a snake.
The 21-year-old dancer has finally lucked out after Casa Amor and coupled up with Josh Le Grove.
Love Island star Danica Taylor’s mum, Lindsey, has defended her daughter
Her proud mum Lindsey has been watching Danica struggle to find a boy to couple up with, but praised her for not giving up.
“But she’s held her head up high and carried on being who she is,” Lindsey told the Mirror.
“She’s a strong, lovely girl and people are seeing that side of Danica come out now.”
Lindsey added: “Some people will behave a bit differently if they’ve been knocked back quite a few times. But viewers are definitely seeing the real Danica and it’s why they’re warming to her more. I’ve brought my girls up to have very good morals and values, so she’s not snakey or a b**ch.
“She’s very mature for her age. She’ll give advice, she’s fun and she’ll have your back.”
Lindsey also gave the new couple her stamp of approval.

“They look incredible together. He’s gorgeous, isn’t he?” she said.
“I’m very protective of my girls, so as long as he’s a nice boy and treats her right, then all good.
“But I’m definitely happy. My favourite moment was seeing her going into Casa Amor and seeing her smile.”
Lindsey added: “Coupling up with Josh as well, seeing her walk in, she just seemed genuinely happy. How she looked at him and how he looked at her, I could see my daughter was happy.
“She’s a fighter. She has obviously managed to try to chat to a few different people and hasn’t managed to get anywhere.”
But it hasn’t been an easy ride for Lindsey watching her daughter on Love Island.
“I’ve been on an emotional roller-coaster watching the show,” Lindsey admitted.
“I just miss her incredibly. It is quite a surreal experience. The longest I’ve been without Danica before is a week.”
Lindsey might be seeing her daughter sooner than she expected because in a surprise twist, producers have handed the power to clear out the cast over to drama-loving viewers.
Iain Stirling announced the move at the end of Friday night’s Love Island, saying: “Now it’s time for you to have your say.
“Head to the app where you can access voting and vote for your favourite couple. Those with the fewest votes are at risk of being dumped from the island.”
