Love Island’s fans spot sign that Ron’s dad disapproves of son’s relationship with Lana

LOVE Island fans have spotted signs that Ron Hall’s dad disapproves of his relationship with Lana Jenkins.

Rodney opened up about how he was finding his son’s experience on the ITV2 show in the chat with Maya Jama.

He was sat opposite former contestant Tanyel Revan as they discussed how Ron, 25, was doing.

The pair were seen laughing and joking together as they appeared to get along, and shared a hug on screen.

Rodney admitted that while he didn’t see “a connection” between his son and Tanyel, he thought their “friendship would last”.

“What a friendship, and that’s going to last,” he said. “That’s the type of person that he needs to have that banter.

“Tanyel, it was just fantastic, I can’t wait to give her a hug.”

Many took to Twitter to suggest that Rodney would have preferred Tanyel, 26, to have been coupled up with his son.

One fan speculated: “Ron’s dad hugged Tanyel REAL tight there,” as a second said: “Ron’s dad doesn’t wanna let go.”

“Ron’s dad secretly wanted Tanyel as the future daughter in law,” a third added.

It comes after Tanyel was dumped from Love Island after failing to couple up with someone in the last recoupling.

She and Ron had spent time getting to know each other, before the star insisted they were “better as friends”.

Last night on Aftersun, Tanyel insisted that he and Ron were “just friends”, despite speculation she was lusting over him.

Ron first coupled up with Lana, 25, at the start of the show, but it hasn’t stopped their fair share of dramas.

The pair split to go and explore other connections, before coming back together in a dramatic U-turn.

Love Island continues on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm
