Love Island star Mitchell Taylor has found himself at the center of a heated debate after sharing a video on TikTok in which he kisses his mum on the lips.
In the video, the 27-year-old surprises his mum with a bottle of champagne, capturing the heartwarming moment on camera.
However, while many viewers were touched by his gesture, others expressed their discomfort with the kiss.
The kiss that sparked debate
One person took to social media to say, "Kissing your mum on the lips in your mid-20s is weird."
A second commenter questioned, "So no one's gonna talk about the kiss on the mouth? Is that normal in the UK? Genuine question, because that's not normal in the US. "

Heartbreak not just on TikTok
Shortly after posting the TikTok video, Mitch also shared the news of his breakup with Love Island co-star Ella Barnes.
Addressing his fans, Mitch wrote, "Morning everyone. As you have most likely seen Ella's post, sadly our relationship has come to an end. We had no intentions of ending it, but with our busy lives and living on opposite sides of the country, it became extremely hard for us to make it work. I wish Ella nothing but the best as she is a lovely girl and deserves the world."
A rollercoaster journey
Mitch and Ella were eliminated from the Love Island villa just before the final, as they were voted the least compatible couple by the other islanders.
Their relationship had been a turbulent one, as Mitch initially ended things with Abi Moores in order to pursue a romance with Ella.
Since leaving the villa, the couple has faced ongoing allegations that their relationship was fake.
