Love Island’s Paige breaks silence after Adam Collard admitted their relationship was a sly ‘game plan’

LOVE Island star Paige Thorne has taken a swipe at ex-boyfriend Adam Collard’s after he called their relationship a “game plan”.

Adam, who appeared on Love Island not once, but twice, after becoming the first former Islander to return as a bombshell last series, made it to the final week with Welsh beauty Paige, 25.

The Welsh beauty slammed some people at being better ‘game players’ than others

Last month, Adam revealed admitted he “choose the right person to stay on the show” and confessed he had a gameplan when he originally entered the show the second time round.

Addressing Adam’s comment, one fan asked Paige during an Instagram Q&A: “Does it hurt that Adam is saying it was his game plan all along to couple up with you?”

The paramedic hit back at Adam and said some people are just better at being “game players” than others.

She said: “Only things that hold value in your life can hurt you.

“Let’s not forget it was a game show, some were just better at playing it than others.”

Paige added: “Also a long time ago now, so it doesn’t really matter anymore.”

It comes after reality TV star Adam revealed the real reason why he chose to go back to the show.

Speaking to Mail Online, Adam said: “The thing with Love Island is I’m the only one who is willing to admit it, I would completely choose the right person to stay on the show.”

He continued: “That’s why I got back on the show in my eyes, they realised I didn’t care about anything.”

Adam previously discussed how he had witnessed stars of the show, such as Molly-Mae Hague, achieve enormous fame and how he wanted to follow in their foot-steps.

He shared: “We all know the game. It was really hard for me the second time because I could see through everything, it is unbelievable how clear it is the second time.”

The 27-year-old stated: “So yes, everyone comes on and says I am here to find love and that, yes you kind of are and obviously that is unreal but nobody is daft.”

In an exclusive interview with The Celeb Report, Adam confessed to being “ruthless” in previous relationships but intends to turn a fresh leaf.

He said: “I am dating again now. Do you know what, as much as I have been a little bit ruthless in the past with relationships and yes I’ve ended things when it has started to not work out, I am actually a bit of a hopeless romantic.

“I do think there is someone for every person and I want to go and do all the things I like to do with someone else.”

Adam turned the Welsh paramedic’s head while she was coupled up with Jacques O’Neill who later walked out the villa.

He made her his girlfriend soon after leaving the show – but split months later.

Paige blamed a string of videos online showing Adam chatting with his arms around girls at nightclubs.
