Love Island winner Sammy Root has broken his silence about his recent breakup with fellow Islander Jess Harding. Just two days after their split was confirmed, Sammy was spotted seeking solace with Love Island bombshell Abi Moores.
Fun Night Out
While Jess is currently in Ibiza, Sammy made an appearance at Thorpe Park’s Fright Nights 2023 launch event, determined to have a good time without her. And fortunately for him, Abi happened to be there as well.
Tough Week
Speaking at the Surrey event, Sammy admitted that the past week had been incredibly difficult for him. Though he couldn't discuss the split, he expressed his desire to enjoy the night and have some fun.
Drinks and Support
Sammy and Abi were seen deep in conversation, sipping on drinks from the bar. Other Love Island alumni, Tom Clare, Casey O’Gorman, and Joseph Garratt, also joined them.
Rollercoaster Release
Sammy and Abi took on Thorpe Park’s fastest thrill ride, Stealth, with Abi offering support and concern for Sammy afterwards.
Blindsided and Gutted
Sources close to Sammy revealed that he felt blindsided by Jess' decision to end their relationship. He was hurt by the lack of respect in how she handled the breakup. Sammy is devastated by the split.
Victorious Duo
Jess and Sammy had won £50,000 after being crowned the winners of Love Island in August. However, news broke on Monday that they had decided to go their separate ways. Jess is apparently telling people they are better off as friends.
