Love Island Star Opens Up About "Real Reason" for Joining Love Island USA
Love Island star Scott Van-Der-Sluis has recently commented on the breakup of Sammy and Jess, throwing some shade their way. In a recent interview on the Saving Grace podcast, the 22-year-old reality TV star shared his thoughts on the couple's split, saying, "I don't think anyone truly didn't expect it. Out of the four couples, for me at the time, I thought that the other three were stronger."
When asked if he was shocked that Sammy and Jess won Love Island, Scott didn't hold back, stating, "Yes, in terms of the Love Island story, it should've been Ella and Ty. Ty obviously being a player coming into the villa, Ella probably doing a little bit of the same thing. Both struggling with feelings, Ty especially struggling with his feelings. And then suddenly, he's an absolute loverboy."
In the same podcast interview, Scott also revealed the "real reason" he joined Love Island USA earlier this year. He explained, "Put a figure in front of me and I was like, I'm gonna do it. I was just there for a laugh and some money."
Fans of Love Island will soon see Scott return to the screen as he joins Love Island Games, a spinoff series that brings together ex-islanders from around the world for a second chance at love. Other former stars making their return to the villa include Eyal Booker, Curtis Pritchard, Megan Barton-Hanson, and Georgia Steel.
