Love Island Star Tasha Ghouri Excited for New Challenge
Love Island star Tasha Ghouri was all smiles as she arrived at Strictly rehearsals to meet her professional dancer. The 25-year-old, who rose to fame on the ITV2 dating show in 2022, was confirmed as one of the celebrities taking part in this year's line-up earlier this week. Tasha was seen in high spirits as she arrived at a dance studio in London for rehearsals, looking stunning in a black tight unitard, brown jacket, and white trainers.
Defending Her Place on the Show
Despite some fans pointing out her dance background as an advantage, Tasha explained, "I've not danced for quite a few years, since Love Island my career is so different. It's such a different dance style, I may actually not be good at it, like ballet - I'm not good at ballet. I'm trained in commercial street style it's going to be very hard but I'm excited for a challenge."
From Love Island to Strictly
Tasha, the show's first deaf contestant who found love on Love Island, expressed her excitement for being on Strictly. She mentioned that it has been one of her biggest dreams to be on the show and is looking forward to the challenge of learning new dance styles like ballroom and salsa.
