FANS of Luther are in for a treat as Idris Elba announces he will return as the iconic character in a brand new epic film.
Idris made the announcement on his Instagram page alongside a promo video teasing his return as the formidable character.

The star revealed that Luther: The Fallen Sun will be making its debut next month.
The Netflix Original film will head to cinemas on February 24th ahead of being able to stream on the online platform on the 10th March.
A stony-faced Idris shoots a sharp look down the camera as he could be seen as Luther in the short clip.
Two voiceovers can be heard in the clip, with one teasing: “Something’s coming,” before another says “You see me now?”
The announcement sent fans wild as they rushed to share their excitement online.
One fan exclaimed: “I’M SCREAMING!!”
Another wrote: “Let’s gooo, can’t wait to watch this.”
A third shared: “Never been more excited for a show movie.”
While a fourth penned: “Finally!! Something to look forward to in 2023.”
Idris first appeared as Luther in the BBC TV series in 2012 before the show drew to a close after five seasons in 2019.
